Tuxedo Black w/Lt. Blue interior, 427/435hp, 4-spd. manual transmission. Black has always been a sinister looking color on a vintage Corvette. It complements the lines of all the first three generations. But it’s especially sharp on the mid-years (’63-’67). And on a ’67 big block you get the added contrast of the Stinger hood! Back in ’67 the most common color for the Stinger was Black. But when you ordered a Black car, you naturally had to order a different Stinger color. The choices were White, Red and the very rare Blue. There were only a handful of Black cars with Blue Stingers built in ’67. And this car . . . is not one of them. Originally Marina Blue w/Blue interior, when the owner restored the car, he decided that Tuxedo Black with a Blue Stinger was the only way to go! So, that what he did. Under the hood is a N.O.M. L71 427/435hp big block backed up by a 4-spd. manual transmission. Inside the control room, things are spartan. Even the fairly standard am/fm radio is missing, as it was a radio delete car. Outside, there’s a side exhaust system and a set of Bolt on wheels wrapped in red line radial tires. Cosmetically, it’s in show condition. Mechanically, it runs like the beast it is! While not a candidate for N.C.R.S. or Bloomington judging, it’s still every bit a fun to experience as one that is!
