The 928 has the distinction of being the first front engine V8 powered sports car to come out of the Porsche factory. Considered a luxury grand tourer, it was built from ’78 until ’95 and over that period, many variations were produced. Believe it or not, the 928 was originally intended to replace the iconic 911! But the powers that be, wisely decided against that move. The 928 combined the power, poise, and handling of a sports car with the refinement, comfort, and equipment of a luxury sedan, and it became the top-of-the-line production car sold by Porsche. This very nice 928S came to us from an owner up in OR. The unusual exterior of Kiln Red is one we haven’t seen before, and it complements the lines of the car quite well. It has been well maintained over the years. And a file of extensive service docs and records, including the belt service are included, as well as the owners kit and original window sticker. It’s a great runner and a lot of fun to drive, so put on those Ray Ban’s, pop in a Bob Seger tape and lets cruise! And watch out for the U-Boats! Options include: Protective side moldings. Power front seats. Anti-theft device for wheels. Alarm system. Electric sliding roof. Pin stripes. AM/FM Cassette. Plush floor mats.
