The Cadillac XLR was manufactured from 2003-2009 and bult alongside the Corvette in the car’s Bowling Green KY. assembly plant. Although the cars did share some things in common, when you got down to the details, there were likely just as many differences as similarities. Of course, both were front engine, rear wheel drive, two-seat Convertibles. However, the XLR featured a power retractable hard top, where the Corvette Convertible had a soft top. Under the hood, the Corvette had a 6.0L/400hp V8 in the base car, where the XLR a 4.6L/320hp Northstar V8. However, there was a high-performance variant of the XLR. Enter the XLR-V. This version came equipped with a 4.4L/443hp Supercharged Northstar V8. It also came with larger brakes, stiffer suspension, larger wheels and tires and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The beautiful XLR-V presented here is in excellent condition, having travelled only 40k miles since new. It’s been in the pampered collection of a good client of ours and it shows!
